Alpine Travel Trailers What To Pack Traveling To NZ October 2009?

What to pack traveling to NZ October 2009? - alpine travel trailers

My partner and I are traveling to New Zealand on 09 October and are wondering what to bring. We drive an RV around the two islands and are wondering what to pack. We would like to spend more time in the glaciers of the South Island and the trip to the Alps. Since the October snow gear or just plain clothes, for example, hot jeans and a sweater.
From Sydney, we did not really experience the cold climate as such.
Can anyone tell how cold it is and what it is.

Thanks
Carly

The value of Sydney winter clothing should be good for October ... To bring thermals, hats, socks, scarves, etc., if you plan to go to the snow.
Perhaps we experience happiness and get a few hot days, clothing, so that a few lighter in his hand. It depends on how you feel the cold and things are heated. Dress in layers.

I moved from Sydney to New Plymouth, North Iceland, New Zealand last year and my winter clothes in Sydney was just enough in the winter until October ... I always wore jeans under heat in October and November, mohair sweaters and shoes UGG right into December ...
My then boyfriend and I decided to go half-way Mount Egmont in October without proper gloves and that it is not a great idea, as we reached the snow line, and the wind was icy. Feburary climb to the summit of Egmont winter coat is required, socks, jacket and shirt with long sleeves and jeans. It was still a little too cold for this summit.
Obviously acclimatised I havent ' "And yet ... LOL. I feel the cold!

A windbreaker / rain jacket is a must. \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ U0026lt;br>
If you find that has enough heat Arent New Zealand, a wonderful variety of "Possum Merino" or possum fur can be purchased to keep warm.

Meteorology website at published. You can keep an eye on the weather in the coming months and especially closer to October.
When I see a climate-the-average, I will for you, according to average temperatures. Have not found what I wanted, but it should help ...

You Australians are hilarious. Snow equipment? Where do you think we live? Yes, yes, Lolol. Bless ya, that made my day.

October is spring, but still pretty cold. Wear a warm jacket (not necessarily too hot) and a sweater and maybe a hat, a single species, you can buy socks norsewear here if you are cold and wear ordinary shoes / sneakers strong.
Oh, and maybe you buy gloves when you go near the snow border.
We hope you enjoy, you know. Welcome.

October is still very cold, but you can also hot days. Be sure to waterproof. If you are at the foot of the mountains, snow gear, but also pack a few shirts. They are probably in jeans and long sleeves when.
